UPDATE:  August 20, 2004

The Beta Upsilon Chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha will continue operations.  With a tremendous amount of work by David Gay, Ralph Angiuoli, Mike Malone and others, the chapter is on "probation" from UNC Charlotte and not "suspension."  The probation language is the key to remaining recognized by our National Fraternity.  Faxes and emails have been sent to the National Fraternity Chief Operating Officer, who has assured us that we will receive reinstatement ASAP.

 
We are planning an informational meeting the evening of Thursday, September 6th to review our status.  The meeting is open to alumni and undergraduate members.

UPDATE:  May 13, 2004

 

"You like all Beta Upsilon Alumni are shocked after receiving a letter from
our National Fraternity.  It clearly states the Grand High Zeta has declared
our chapter inactive.  Please be patient while we get to bottom of this
mail.  As soon as we understand all the facts, we will send both email and
post a message on this website.  Thank you for your cooperation."
